Laura Chalker is the Principal Consultant for Momenta Consulting LLC.

Laura has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector.  She is currently the Executive Director of the Bond Accountability Commission that monitors the expenditure of funds for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s construction projects that are financed through bond and tax levies. Prior to launching Momenta Consulting LLC, she was the Chief Program Officer for The Centers for Families and Children & Circle Health Services, Inc. – one of Northeast Ohio's oldest and largest non-profit, human service organizations. Laura was a member of the executive team and responsible for all of the agency’s service lines including integrated behavioral health, primary care, early learning and workforce services.  She had oversight of diverse and complex program budgets totaling more than $61 million and a workforce of 540 employees across 18 locations. Laura successfully maintained quality services in highly regulated environments with an ever-present focus on strategic initiatives toward sustainability, growth and innovation. 

Laura previously served as the Executive Director of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), where she spearheaded an innovative strategic plan and developed a highly engaged board of directors, earning the chapter national recognition as a JDRF Board of Distinction for three consecutive years.  Prior to JDRF she was the Chief Program Officer for West Side Ecumenical Ministry overseeing multiple programs and sites serving children and youth, a wide array of funding sources as well as over 30 subcontractors.  

Laura is a Leadership Cleveland (Class of 2019), Cleveland Bridge Builders (Class of 2008) and Lead Diversity (Class of 2007) alumnus. She serves as a board member of the Healthy Lakewood Foundation and the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland as well as a mentor for College Now Cleveland. Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Allegheny College and her Master of Business Administration (with a focus on executive management) from Baldwin Wallace University. She brings an exceptional level of enthusiasm, dedication, nuanced perspective along with a sense of humor to her clients.
